Valentine’s Day is the biggest dining holiday of the year. And, as most unintentionally flaky valentines know, planning is key. With the most restaurants of any booking app, OpenTable has a ton of data - data that comes in handy when you’re trying to score that perfect V-Day reservation. This year, we put that data to use in a series of urgent PSAs designed to help procrastinators fire up their OpenTable app and book.

We created 14 unique videos—one for each day leading up to Valentine’s Day. The videos served as a countdown to Valentine’s Day and created a lovely little advent calendar, complete with dinner prizes, on OpenTable’s Instagram grid. Each day leading up to V-Day, followers could tag their would-be dates for a chance to win a dinner reservation at a hot spot in various cities across the country.

The countdown continued on OpenTable.com along with inspiration of where to book via a list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America.
